Our Love Story

Our Love Story: Written by God

Theme Songs:

“At the Beginning With You” - Richard Marx & Donna Lewis

“Now That I Have You” - The Company

 2012 - Two Strangers, a Journey Begins

“When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers…what is mankind that You are mindful of them?” - Psalm 8:3–4

She walked into 2012 feeling brokenhearted, uncertain, and unsure of where life would take her.

He was quietly living his own days, unaware that God was already preparing a love story that would heal, restore, and inspire.

We were strangers, starting out on a journey, never dreaming what we’d have to go through. We met as ESL teachers in a Korean academy….two paths crossing silently, quietly, destined for more.

🎶Now here we are, I’m suddenly standing at the beginning with you. No one told me I was going to find you… when I lost hope, you were there to remind me. This is the start. 🎶

Even in heartbreak and uncertainty, God was already at work.

2013 - A Simple Goodbye, a Divine Beginning
“Give thanks to the God of heaven, for His love endures forever.” - Psalm 136:26

She resigned to pursue law, leaving a chapter behind. On her last day of work, he simply said goodbye, nothing dramatic, nothing planned. Yet God’s hand was at work. That ordinary farewell became the doorway to a love story only God could write.

🎶And life is a road, and I wanna keep going. Love is a river, I wanna keep flowing. 🎶

The journey had begun: slowly, quietly, beautifully.

2015 - A Promise of Forever

As friendship deepened into connection, and connection blossomed into love, he gave her a promise ring. It was more than a ring; it was a quiet vow: Someday, we will stand together before God.

Through family trips, laughter, shared memories, and long conversations, our hearts opened to one another.

🎶All my life it seemed that something had been missing… until I met you. You opened the door and let the sunshine in. My life will never be the same again. 🎶

We discovered that love doesn’t just add happiness; it makes life brighter, purposeful, and full of joy.

2023 - The Proposal

Proposals look perfect in movies - but ours was real. The day was far from perfect; full of challenges, delays, chaos and frustrations surrounded us and tested our faith. But imperfections made the moment unforgettable.

Because real love doesn’t require flawless circumstances, it requires hearts willing to choose each other, again and again. Love was perfect because it was real – it was ours.

In front of our very special people and under God’s watchful love, he finally asked the question that changed everything. And in that moment, the song of our hearts felt alive.

🎶 “I’ll be there when the world stops turning. I’ll be there when the storm is through. In the end I wanna be standing at the beginning with you.”

We realized that love is about choosing each other, even when life is messy. Love doesn’t wait for perfect timing; it thrives even in imperfection.

2026 - February 14: The Wedding Day

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.” - Matthew 22:37

After years of God’s guidance and perfect timing, we now stand ready to say I Do. On Valentine’s Day, a day the world celebrates love, we celebrate more than romance; we celebrate faith, endurance, hope, and a love that has grown through seasons, trials, and joy.

🎶 Looking ahead I see the two of us together, I’ll never let you go. You’re so dear to me, and it isn’t any wonder why I love you so. You opened the door and let the sunshine in. My life will never be the same again. Now that I have you, everything just seems so right. Now that I have you, I’m alive. You are the song that I’ll be singing my whole life through. I’m living in a brighter world, now that I have you. 🎶

Our wedding day is the culmination of years of waiting, praying, dreaming, and loving. It is a celebration not just of us, but of God’s perfect timing and enduring grace.
