Ma. Rosedan N. Daug & Homer D. Daug Pearl Wedding Anniversary • November 28, 2025 (30 Years)

Their love story did not begin with technology. Not with Messenger, not with notifications, not with emojis.

Their story began with a love letter.

Back in high school up to college, it wasn’t even Homer who first tried to win Rosedan’s heart… it was Homer’s bestfriend. But she rejected him. Homer quietly watched from the side… and destiny slowly positioned him exactly where he was meant to be.

Homer went to Misamis Institute of Technology Inc. to study Maritime. This is where everything truly started.

Letters became their language. Paper became the bridge of their hearts. What started as friendship… slowly bloomed into courtship.

They only met twice before Homer left to Manila to pursue his seaman career but distance never stopped them. Because their love was built through ink, envelopes and patient waiting.

Then came one of the funniest milestones of their journey:

Rosedan finally said “YES” to be his girlfriend through a letter and she mailed it in July.

Homer received it on August 23.

So August 23 became the official date, not when she wrote it, but when destiny finally delivered it.

When Homer came home from his first sea contract… he told Rosedan’s parents that the next time he returns… he would marry her.

Nobody took it seriously. Not even Rosedan.

But when Homer returned again on November 4, 1995, he stayed true to every word he ever wrote.

On November 6, 1995, with his entire family, they came to her home for the traditional “pamalayi.”

And on November 28, 1995, they became husband and wife.

From love letters… to lifetime partners.

30 YEARS LATER… PEARL.

Their journey together became their strongest testament of God’s goodness, faithfulness, unity, open communication, respect and commitment. They faced distance not as hindrance but as a choice to talk, to listen, to honor each other especially in difficult moments.

They built a family grounded in love, humility, prayer and God at the center.

They raised two children who became their greatest gifts.

They cherish every travel, bonding moments, movies, Christmas and New Year celebrations even when Homer was far, video calls kept their hearts connected.

They survived problems not as individuals but as a team.

They are proud that they are a God-fearing family.

They are grateful that they reached this incredible milestone. 30 years of love, commitment, dedication, and partnership
