Growing up Story

When I first opened my eyes, I was surrounded with love and care that nurtured me as I grow up through the years that made me become who I am today. Growing up wasn't easy because I had left something I considered beautiful when I was younger, but it was in return of something much more beautiful and better. The more years pass, the more curious I become as I surrounded myself with wonder. 

As a little child, I was filled with enthusiasm and curiosity, wanting to go everywhere and experience so many things. I looked up to the older ones and I was inspired to do better than what I know I could, thinking that someday I'll be like them. I was like a baby bird looking at the other birds flying gracefully, then I wanted to become just like them to be able to soar high up above the skies. But it wasn't easy like said, I had faced challenges that required determination, patience, and strength. It was something where I had dropped down my knees from the burdens it caused — but I managed to pass through all of them as I become stronger and learned something new to overcome more challenges. Every trials I had faced made me wiser, stronger, and more determined to become like the birds soaring high above the skies. 

I was deeply grateful for all of the people around me who was there for me even at my lowest. My friends and family has always been there for me no matter what, they have seen me grown and transform into the woman I had become. I treasure deeply in my heart and soul of the memories with them — the secrets we hid, the laughter that filled the air, the continuous storytelling of our experiences, the shared invisible wounds, and the tears that made us bond closer together. 

And now, as I stand here at 18 — at the crossroads between childhood and adulthood — I look back with gratitude. Every memory, every tear, and every smile shaped me into the young woman I am today: stronger, wiser, and ready to take on the world with grace and courage.

This debut isn’t just a celebration of my age — it’s a celebration of growth, love, and the people who walked with me through every chapter of my life. As I turn 18, I carry with me the lessons of the past, the joy of the present, and the hope for a future that shines even brighter. Tonight, I’m not just a girl growing up — I am a woman becoming.
