Our Love Story

In early 2015, fate made its first quiet move. Jeric found a simple reason to start a conversation—he asked Allyssa if he could borrow her phone to send a message. Little did she know, the number that Jeric typed was his own. That small, clever moment became the beginning of a connection neither of them fully understood yet. 

Jeric began visiting Allyssa’s home to court her, bringing along his playing cards and charming her with magic tricks. But at that time, Allyssa’s heart was not ready. The courtship was short-lived, and life led them in different directions. Allyssa moved to Manila to pursue her studies, and their communication slowly faded, leaving their story unfinished.

But true love, when meant, always finds its way back.

 At the end of 2016, destiny reunited them. Jeric had just completed his international OJT, and he reached out to Allyssa once more. They agreed to meet at Luneta Park—a place perfectly situated between their worlds. Allyssa studied at Adamson University, just behind Luneta Park along Taft Avenue, while Jeric worked nearby Luneta Park. Their places were only a ten-minute walk apart, as if the universe had carefully planned their paths to cross again.

 And this time, everything felt right.

 Jeric continued courting Allyssa with patience and sincerity, and on January 19, 2017, Allyssa finally said yes—just before Jeric left the Philippines to begin another contract as a seafarer. It was a promise of love that would endure distance and time. 

Like every true love story, theirs was not without challenges. Together, Jeric and Allyssa faced trials, strengthened by their shared belief that everything happens for a reason. With faith in God, they found courage, grew stronger, and became the best versions of themselves—not only for each other, but for the life they were building together.

 On their 8th anniversary January 19, 2025, with only the blessing of Allyssa’s family and a ring filled with meaning, Jeric asked the most important question. Allyssa answered with a joyful and wholehearted yes, sealing the moment that marked the beginning of their marriage journey.



 And now, here they are—hand in hand, hearts aligned—preparing for the day they will say “I do.” What began with a borrowed phone and a simple message has blossomed into a love rooted in patience, faith, and destiny. As they stand on the threshold of their forever, Jeric and Allyssa move forward with gratitude, hope, and a promise to choose each other every day, for the rest of their lives.
