WHEN TIME STOOD STILL

It was the first day of school in June 2014 when our paths first crossed. The world was busy with new schedules, new faces, and the noise of another school year beginning. But in the middle of all that, there she was—simple, calm, naturally beautiful. I noticed her instantly, even before I fully understood why. There was something about her presence that stood out from everyone else. She wasn’t trying to be noticed, and maybe that’s exactly why she was.

I didn’t fall for her because she was like every other girl I knew. I fell for her because she wasn’t. There was a gentleness in her, a simplicity that felt rare… the kind of presence that stays with you long after the day ends. Without meaning to, I found myself drawn to her — again and again, without fail.

In 2014, I made her a promise — young, hopeful, and certain that one day, she would be my wife. I told her I would marry her in 10 years. But life had its journey, love had its seasons, and God had His own timing. 

As days turned into months and months into years, we grew not just as partners, but as teammates, friends, and eventually — parents.

Our love grew even deeper when Lucas came into our lives.

Becoming a family changed everything. It wasn’t just “you and me” anymore — it became us. Holding our son for the first time made our story real in a new way, anchoring us in a shared purpose, a shared dream, a shared forever.

We had our ups and downs—the kind every real relationship goes through.

We faced days when we didn’t understand each other, moments when we questioned, moments when life felt heavy. We had disagreements, tears, long nights, and times when love looked more like patience than perfection.

But no matter how hard things became, we always found our way back to each other.

Every challenge made us stronger.

Every trial reminded us of why we started.

Every difficult moment was followed by a choice—

and for 11 years, we chose us.

Through the good days and the hard days, one truth remained:
