Our Love Story

Flight of the Heart: A Lifetime of Love and Togetherness

Jun and Faye grew up in the vibrant village of Villamor, their childhoods filled with laughter and dreams. Although they attended different schools, fate wove a tapestry of moments where their paths nearly intertwined, yet the universe held back, leaving them strangers. As they ventured into separate paths—Jun at the Philippine Military Academy and Faye at the University of Santo Tomas— a silent connection lingered, hinting at a destiny yet to unfold.

Motivated by the steadfast dedication of their fathers, they both joined the Philippine Air Force in April 2001, starting their journey together in Villamor Air Base, where countless chances to meet awaited them but fate continued to keep their paths apart. They were soon sent to Lipa City for separate trainings before advancing in their military careers—Jun moving to 15SW in Cavite City after graduating from the PAF Flying School and Faye joining the 250PAW in Villamor after completing the Officer Candidate Course.

Their paths finally converged when Faye joined the 20th Attack Squadron, where Jun was honing his skills as an Attack Pilot. Though deployments separated them, they often had brief encounters and casual chitchats. Everything shifted during a joint deployment, allowing their interactions to deepen. They began to share meaningful conversations about life, careers, and personal struggles, gradually realizing how much they had in common.

Amid life's challenges, love quietly blossomed. Their concern and desire to support each other drew them closer, defying complexities and pushing them to take a leap into the possibility of “forever”. Navigating through their relationship, they faced difficulties while balancing demanding careers, managing insecurities, and handling external expectations. Each obstacle brought moments of doubt.  Despite these challenges, they learned to rely on one another, which ultimately strengthened their bond as they collaborated to overcome life's obstacles.

Reflecting on the years filled with trials and triumphs and having been blessed with two beautiful children, CaiCai and CuyCuy, Jun and Faye always believed in their destination: a lifetime of love and togetherness. And as God charts the flight of their hearts, they are both excited to find themselves at this long-awaited moment in their lives… the day they say, "I do."
