Our Love Story
We didn’t meet in a fairytale.
There were no violins playing, no slow-motion glances across a crowded room.
We met in a hotel.
Two practicum students in the housekeeping department — learning how to fold sheets perfectly, how to make beds tight and neat, how to clean rooms until they sparkled. Our days smelled like fresh linen and cleaning spray. Our hands were busy, our dreams were still forming, and love was the last thing on our minds.
We were just two people trying to do our best.
Maybe we laughed a little too much in between tasks. Maybe our eyes met longer than they should have. Maybe something was already there — quiet, patient, waiting.
But when the practicum ended, life pulled us in different directions.
No dramatic goodbye.
No promises.
Just separate paths.
Years passed.
We grew. We changed. We experienced life in ways we never imagined back then. The hotel became just a memory — a chapter closed.
Until one day…
A message.
Simple. Casual.
“Hi. How have you been?”
And just like that, the spark returned — not as a small flame, but as something deeper. This time, we weren’t just two students. We were two people who had lived, learned, and understood what truly matters.
Conversations became longer.
Laughter became warmer.
Silence became comfortable.
What we didn’t start back then, life gently brought back to us — at the right time.
Maybe we had to separate to grow into the people we needed to be for each other.
We didn’t meet in a fairytale.
We met while cleaning rooms and making beds.
But somehow, in the most ordinary place, love quietly began — and years later, it found its way back to finish the story.
And this time, we chose each other. ❤️
