They almost met before they met.

Years ago, they were both working at the same firm SGV. Same building, same elevators, same late nights, same busy seasons but somehow, never the same moment. He left first. Two years later, she resigned too. No exchanged glances, no near-miss encounters that they know of. Just two lives quietly moving in parallel.

Then came April 2019.

Inside the ING office in BGC, busy, bright, buzzin, she walked in as the “new joiner,” and that’s where their story finally decided to start. No dramatic slow-motion scene, no instant sparks for the world to see. Just a calm, steady connection that felt strangely familiar, like life was saying, “There you are.”

Four months later, on July 19, 2019, she said yes.

From the beginning, they’ve been a lowkey couple. No office PDA, no loud declarations. They kept things so subtle that officemates would tease them: “Parang hindi kayo mag-jowa, di naman kayo nag-uusap sa office.” And they’d just laugh because what people didn’t see were the real moments outside: late-night conversations, food trips, quiet drives, shared plans, and a love that never needed an audience.

Days turned into years. They grew, they learned, they supported each other through career shifts, life changes, and everything in between. Still lowkey, still choosing each other in the everyday.

And then, five years after that first “yes,”, they sealed the next chapter. In March 2025, they got engaged.

From almost crossing paths in SGV, to finally finding each other in ING, to standing here ready for forever. Simple, intentional, and exactly how it was meant to unfold.
