Our Love Story

Unlike any other love story, ours is not chaotic and loud. Love slowly knocked on our doors and gently tapped our hearts, saying, "I'm home".

Our paths initially crossed in 2021, during the pandemic era. We were both part of a new batch of work-from-home employees in a company located in Eastwood. We both got assigned to the same team. You may think we became friends instantly, but nope. We didn't. Our introverted selves won the best of us.

A year passed, and still, we didn't have any other conversation apart from one of us asking the other some work-related questions.

It was just a normal Tuesday when, finally, a conversation, apart from work-related questions, began between the two of us. One of Miguel's dogs passed away, and he was inclined to adopt a rescue from PAWS. He asked Jaymee if she knew how to adopt a rescue from PAWS. The conversation between them continued until after office hours. This continued for days and months. Sparks flew instantly, and the connection was inevitable.

Some may say that you cannot love someone in an instant. But our love story is a testimony that when love hits you, it HITS you. Bullseye. We were not looking for love during the time we met, but destiny and fate played their part, allowing us to find our missing piece. We found each other at the moment when we least expected it. Our kind of love is slow, calm, and serene. It is the kind of love that brings the warmth of home and promises to stay.

Our relationship is not perfect, but it is real. We not only become lovers, but we also become best friends, and we become family. The marriage proposal happened after 2 years of being together.

This is the point when we should say, "and the rest is history...", but we won't. Our own fairytale is just starting another chapter, so we'd better end this story by saying, ...and we'll live happily ever after...
