Love Story of Two Hearts Meant to Be

It all began in 2012, when two souls crossed paths through a mutual friend.

Our friend invited me and all other of his friends including Ron to have a few drinks at Auntie Pearls place after their long week of work at IRRI, while me also having my off fr my work at SEARCA

And Indeed it was friday, the perfect shot day, that night we met for the Ist time.

Initially, I didn’t pay much attention to him. After all, he was older. I even called him “kuya” a respectful term for an older man. But as fate would have it, we started conversing online. One chat led to another, until it became a daily habit that both of us looked forward to.

On January 8, 2012, I finally said Yes! I remembered praying during Simbang Gabi, completing all nine nights, and asking the Lord for someone who was meant for me. God answered my prayer and gave me Ron.

Our first date took place at Eatsumo, filled with laughter and shy smiles. 

Soon after, I was assigned to work at SM Megamall, which made things more challenging for both of us. We were busy with our own schedules and our time together were few and far between.

We broke up several times, but destiny always found a way to bring us back together. Every time we met for closure, we ended up laughing and talking instead, and that rekindled our love. 😂 

With the passage of time, the arguments abated. We learned to adjust to each other. Ron learned to just laugh it off whenever I got mad and his calmness made me laugh too until we both realized that we found peace in each other.

As we grew older, life became more serious. "adulting" as they called it. We decided to buy a piece of land for our future together. At first, building a house wasn’t even part of the plan, but soon we took that step too. Ron moved in first while I still lived with my parents. In the meantime, we continued to work hard for our dreams.

After 10 years of love and growth, a very special moment came on January 1, 2023 New Year’s Day. 

Ron proposed to me, marking a new chapter in our story. From then on, we began envisioning our wedding. A mental picture was slowly taking form, though we have not decided on the date just yet. Ron asked me several times, but I didn't feel the urgency to tie the knot. 

Two years later, on January 1, 2025, at 12:30 pm, it finally felt right! I then took the initiative to seal the deal so to speak. I looked at him and said, “Let’s get married!" It's time to plan our wedding. 

To my surprise, Ron had only been waiting for me to say those words. I saw his eyes fill with tears of joy.

And now, after all the years, the ups and downs, the laughter and lessons, our love story is about to reach it's most beautiful chapter yet our wedding day.

Truly, God brought us together for a reason and our love stood the test of time. We are living proof that prayers do come true. ❤️
