Our love story is a reminder that God is always at work. He allows us to experience pain, heartbreak, and waiting seasons. Not to break us, but to shape our hearts, strengthen our faith, and prepare us for the love meant for us. What once felt broken, He turned into something beautiful.

Back in 2012, I was working long shifts at a call center handling New Zealand Telecom account, answering one call after another, unaware that one ordinary day would quietly plant a seed for the future. And he was on the other end of the line calling from New Zealand, needing assistance with his mobile. Yet in that brief conversation, there was a spark (for him hahaha). Before the call ended, he took a chance and asked if he could add me on Facebook. I agreed lol and just like that, we became digital strangers connected by a single moment.

Life went on.

From 2012 to 2023, there were no messages, no conversations—only years of growth, change, heartbreaks, and dreams lived separately. They moved through different seasons of life, unaware that God was quietly preserving a connection that would one day matter.

Then came June 2023.

I noticed his Facebook posts about studying in Australia. Something stirred on me.. curiosity, courage, maybe even destiny. I sent a simple message to him, asking about the student visa process. I then applied for international visa in Australia. But news came in April 2024 that my application didn’t workout. That’s when he called and comforted me. Conversations became daily check-ins. Daily check-ins turned into laughter, vulnerability, and shared dreams. Slowly, the connection that once lasted only minutes on a phone call grew into something deep, intentional, and undeniable.

They realized that timing had always been the missing piece. God hadn’t forgotten that call from 2012. He had simply been waiting for the right moment. After eleven years of silence, love found its voice.

What started with a scripted greeting in a call center became a story of faith, patience, and divine timing—a reminder that some love stories don’t rush; they wait. And when they finally begin, they feel like coming home. That simple step marked the beginning of what God had been quietly preparing all along 🥹
